Meet the Director

Beverly Price is a retired Superintendent of Alexander City Schools, where she concluded a distinguished 29-year career in education in June 2024. Throughout her career, she served in a variety of leadership roles, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, deputy superintendent, and superintendent.

Following her retirement, Dr. Price continues her commitment to education and community impact as the Chief Workforce Development Officer for the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement (SAFE). She also serves as a principal mentor across the state of Alabama and works as an educational consultant, supporting school leaders and organizations in strategic planning, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

Dr. Price is an alumna of Auburn University, Auburn University at Montgomery, and Faulkner University. She has served on numerous civic and professional boards, including the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce, the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Martin, and the Lake Martin Area United Way. Her additional service includes leadership roles on the governing boards of the East Alabama Regional Inservice Center, the East Alabama Regional Professional Development Board, and the Auburn University Field Experiences Board.

A passionate advocate for early literacy and lifelong learning, Dr. Price is dedicated to ensuring students develop the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in the careers of their choosing.
